Recently, China's first fuel cell yacht "Lihu" passed the trial voyage in Dalian sea. The trial data show that all indexes of the yacht meet the design requirements, which marks a key step for the application of fuel cell in ship power. It is worth mentioning that, as a vivid example of the deep integration of innovation chain and the regional industrial chain, "Lihu" was built by Wuxi Lihu Supercharging Technology Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturing enterprise in Binhu District, in conjunction with a number of research institutes.
As an enterprise focusing on the R&D, production and sales of turbocharger compressor casing and turbine casing, Lihu Supercharger has the core technologies involved in various production links, such as mold design and development, product casting, machining and assembly. In 2020, the global sales of compressor casing accounted for more than 20%, ranking first, covering global mainstream models such as BMW, Audi and Volkswagen.
The layout of Lihu supercharged industrial chain extends from "on the road" to "in the water", which is a targeted layout according to the needs of the great protection of the Yangtze River. "It is the general trend to develop green fuel cell powered ships. After the technical index of' Lihu' is demonstrated, many new industries such as ship production, mobile communication and fuel cell will be driven." Wang Hongqi, chairman of Lihu Supercharger, said that enterprises have first-class machining and casting capabilities. Now, with the help of research institutes, "science" has been transformed into "technology", and upgrading and re-layout of the industrial chain is not an empty talk. It is reported that the research team has successively solved the technical problems such as hydrogen filling in ships and design of marine fuel cell system. This trial battery yacht has a length of 14 meters, a designed ship speed of 18 kilometers per hour and a battery life of 200 kilometers.
"Deploy innovation chain around the industrial chain, promote the synergy and interaction of all kinds of innovative subjects, and let innovative elements such as technology, talents and capital closely gather and flow efficiently." Relevant persons in Binhu District said that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Binhu will give full play to the advantages of institutes gathering, and expand and develop six advantageous industrial clusters, including integrated circuit design, life and health, new generation information technology, sea and air core components, intelligent equipment and digital culture. Among them, the sea and air core components industry will rely on 702 Taihu laboratories to vigorously develop characteristic industrial chains such as deep-sea operation platforms, high-tech ships and characteristic marine engineering equipment.
According to a related person from the 702 Institute of CSSC, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Taihu Laboratory will train no less than 10 scientific research teams with the world's advanced level, which will lead the innovation, development, transformation and upgrading of marine equipment manufacturing industry and related industries. Besides promoting the development of high-end industries such as titanium alloy materials and profile structure processing, it will also promote the industrialization of independent innovation achievements such as marine high-power fuel cells, and promote the formation of shipbuilding industry and new industrial chain.
It is learned from Binhu District that this year, Binhu will focus on building the "main engine" of Taihu Bay Science and Technology Zone, deepen innovation cooperation around Taihu Lake and Yangtze River Delta, and work together to build innovative platforms such as Taihu Lake Laboratory and Advanced Technology Research Institute, and strive for the landing of national laboratories in the deep sea field. At the same time, we will gather all kinds of innovative resource elements, set up a fund for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and implement a number of cooperation projects for the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements in colleges and districts, so as to push the regional industrial system to a higher end.
